We and our "competitors"

3 min read

Why choose OEMrepairmanual.com as your repair manual provider?

We will write a few articles about the differences between us and our so-called "competitors".
Unfortunately, the vast majority of those who offer "repair manuals" are nothing but scams. They copy and print manuals from various other websites, such as AllData, Chilton, or Haynes, and sell them to you as OEM factory repair manuals. Which they are not.
They offer you the manual for your exact car, based on the VIN, which is another lie. They actually print a model for each year, tell you that this manual is for your car, and say it comes from the manufacturer. The same manual, they repeat it endlessly, to all customers who have the same car model, telling them the same thing, that it is for their car.
Please do not use these websites anymore. They come from China, India, Bulgaria, and many other countries, and they are swindling you all. In countries where copyright does not exist, they can sell a repair manual 1000 times without having the right to do so.
It is difficult for Chilton, Haynes, or AllData to prosecute them for their thefts. Not impossible, but quite difficult. Easier is a civil lawsuit, which will inevitably appear, sooner or later. And these scammers will probably pay several times more than they ever earned.
For these reasons, these scammers sell so-called repair manuals for cars for a few dollars. Until the day they are sued. We will write a few articles about every "competitor" and let you know how they are scamming people like you.
What we offer, as an alternative, is 100% legal and original, coming directly from the manufacturer. It is indeed expensive in price, but the volume of work, the subscription paid to the manufacturer, as well as the quality of the final product, has no equal.
Using the law known as the "right to repair," we ask you to transfer this right to us by signing the Terms&Conditions. Once signed, we can assert your right to repair, we can pay a subscription to the car manufacturer, and we can save the repair manual for your car, exactly.
We do not resell these manuals to others. Because it is not even possible, each manual is actually unique, and fits only one car, the one of the customer who communicated the VIN to us. Each car has its own software, its own body, engine, transmission, trim, color, and accessories. Which means that each car is actually unique; therefore, the repair manual is also unique. That is why we call our product the mechanical biography of the car.
By doing this, we respect the copyrights of the manufacturer and our customers as well. And these manuals are of no use to other car owners, even if they have an almost identical car.
What's stopping you from doing the same thing? The answer is nothing. Any car owner can pay a subscription to the manufacturer and save these files. Enter the VIN, and save all the files.
But there is a "small" problem. Today's manuals contain tens of thousands of pages. You won't find a single one under ten thousand pages. What does this mean? After you pay the subscription, you will need a few days of non-stop work to save these pages. Then, a few more days to arrange them in a logical order.
This is where we come in. We offer you this service, for a fee, of course. That's why we also need time to deliver the manual to you, because we need to create it for your exact car. That's why our prices are so high. We work whole days to offer you this unique mechanical biography of your car.
Why is it important to have this "biography"? Because any other manual will mislead you, and you will end up destroying your car instead of repairing it. Do you think your dealer will repair your car with manuals taken from AllData, Chilton, Haynes? They use exactly what we offer you. The biography of your car. Based on this manual, dealers will repair cars. And this is what we offer you. Nobody else can do this.
